| New Science Press was formed in September 1998 to publish textbooks and professional-level texts in fast-moving and expanding fields in modern biomedical science. Its aim is to meet the increasing need for up-to-date synthetic sources for undergraduate and professional education making full use of the opportunities offered by the web for linking, rapid updating, and presenting material that does not lend itself to print. Books under development with New Science Press include Primers in Biology, a series of short synthetic texts in modular format intended as an educational and reference resource for students and working scientists. During the development of these texts modules will be posted from time to time as samples on BioMed Central for preview. |
